Love, Sexuality, and Marriage:
Sacramental and Spiritual Insights

by Rev. Dr. John Chryssavgis

Fr. John's lecture covers the most important commandment, the "greatest of these," and the secret to Christianity: Love. His talk addresses the roots of relational problems and the beauty of the sacrament of marriage. He handles the subject with grace and wisdom and relates a framework of thinking that every Orthodox individual can benefit from.

Fr. John Chryssavgis read Patristic Theology at the University of Oxford. His writing has focused on the ascetic theology and spirituality of the early Church, especially from the desert tradition of Egypt (4th century) through to the regions of Palestine and Sinai (7th century). He has published several books and numerous articles in international journals and encyclopedias on these subjects. Fr. John also serves as theological advisor to the Patriarchal Commission on Religion and Science (Ecumenical Patriarchate), which focuses on the environment.
